Slinky
On Friday, April 1, 2005, Slinky Jo was welcomed into her new forever home by Jon and Mandy (now named Poppy and Mommy, respectively). During the months leading up to that date, Slinky's new parents had mulled over the idea of whether or not they should get a pet. The decision was made to get a ferret, and to adopt from a shelter. As luck would have it, there was a local animal shelter dedicated to ferrets known as FURRY (Ferrets Under-foot Running 'Round You). Slinky was found via PetFinder, and was to come home with Jon and Mandy within the week. What a wonderful little ball of joy and energy Slinky turned out to be!Favorite treats: N-Bone sticks, milk

Jumpy
On Monday, May 23, 2005, Jumpy, aka, "Little Bastard" (blame Jon for the name, even though Jumpy really did earn it during his first week) was welcomed home by his new Mommy and Poppy, though not so welcomed by his new big sister, Slinky. Jumpy, unlike Slinky, was adopted from PetSmart, rather than an animal shelter, since FURRY wasn't adopting out any single ferrets at the time. Jumpy was chosen by Mandy due to his calm, loving attitude. He didn't bite like the others at PetSmart, and he seemed to enjoy cuddling and being held.Upon arriving at the apartment and seeing a world outside of a glass aquarium for the first time, he began racing around the apartment, jumping up and down, and making a "dooking" sound ("er er er!"). The next ten days were difficult, though, since it turns out that Jumpy did have a biting problem, though he only ever bit Jon. Slinky and Jumpy fought for quite some time, but after a coupls of months, the two were inseparable.
